Power cuts in Corfu due to strong winds

CORFU. Fallen trees due to the strong winds in the region since last night have caused damage to the electricity network, resulting in power cuts in several parts of Corfu.
Various areas, such as Kontokali, Triklino and north Corfu, suffered power cuts early this morning, according to DEDIE (Hellenic Electricity Distribution Network Operator).
The DEDIE crew is working to repair the damage and off-duty employees and those on leave have been recalled as the call centre has been going crazy all morning.
