Deputy Minister for Employment meets with local authority representatives

CORFU. Ms. Rania Antonopoulou, Deputy Minister for Employment, met with the Regional Governor for the Ionian Islands, Theodoros Galiatsatos, and the Mayor of Corfu, Kostas Nikolouzos yesterday evening.
The main topic was the contribution of local authorities to the development of the Social and Solidarity Economy so that it can become a model for fair and sustainable development and an innovative proposal for productivity and job creation.
They also examined the progress of the New Generation Programme for Community Service in Corfu, where 893 unemployed people are participating in the programme.
Today, Ms. Antonopoulou will visit projects in the Community Service programme which have been completed and on Wednesday she will see Social and Solidarity Economy ventures that are active in the Ionian Islands.
