CORFU. The biggest Guitar Festival that has ever taken place in Corfu and one of the most important in Greece begins on 24th November.
The 2nd Ionian Islands Guitar Festival is being organized by the Capodistrias Philharmonic Band in collaboration with the Association of Greek Guitar Players. The Artistic Director of the festival is the distinguished young guitarist, Giorgos Golgaris. The composer-guitarist, Giorgos Papadopoulos along with flautist, Kostantina Tsekoura will present their work, ‘Dream Paths’. There will also be performances by soloists Giorgos and Stelios Gkolgaris (president of the Association of Guitar Players) and the well-known musical group Art Guitaristas, with their distinguished conductor and guitarist, Petros Ristas.
Leading guitarists from Greece and abroad have been invited to take part in the Festival, which will be held in Capodistrias Philharmonic Band Hall.
Admission is free.
