CORFU.As in previous years, there will be a series of training camps prior to the actual Mountain Trail event, with the support of the Municipality of Corfu and the Municipal Cultural, Sport and Environmental Organization (DOPAP). These camps will focus on training and getting to know the paths on the Corfu Mountain Trail.
The organizers have issued the following announcement:
We would like to invite you to come and follow old and forgotten Corfu paths and trails. Visitors and participants in the Mountain Trail from all over Greece and Europe can in this way discover the island’s rich interior, passing through abandoned villages that are part of the 104km race on 14-15 April 2018.
The Camp programme is as follows:
SUNDAY 3/12: 10.00 – Old Perithia-Lafki-Petalias paths (10km)
SUNDAY 14/1: 09.00 – Downhill Taxiarchi Pantokrator-Spartila-Agios Markos-Ipsos paths (8km)
SATURDAY 3/2: 18.00 – Night Klimatias-Zygos-Aleimatades-Lakones paths (18km)
SUNDAY 25/2: 10.00 – Nymphon-Nymphon Waterfalls-Askitario-Episkepsi paths (15km)
SUNDAY 18/3: 09.00 – Strinila-Mt. Pantokrator-Agios Markos paths (23km Ultimate Pantokrator)
Participation in all of these Camp meetings is free and there will also be timings plus discussion and exchange of views in the nearby tavernas.
