Basement fire at Kommeno hotel - immediate response and precautionary evacuation

CORFU. A major Fire Service response was dispatched to the scene, with five fire engines and senior fire officials attending. No individuals have been reported trapped.
A fire broke out shortly before midnight on Sunday in the basement of a hotel complex in the Kommeno area. The Fire Service responded immediately, and as a precautionary measure, an evacuation order was issued for the hotel's facilities.
Five fire engines were deployed to tackle the fire, while the Fire Service leadership and the Regional Commander arrived at the scene from the outset to coordinate the operation.
Initial reports indicate that no individuals were trapped inside the building, and firefighters have the situation under control.
