Road accident in Tzavros: Car hits father and daughter

CORFU. A 63-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were taken to the hospital after being hit by a car on Monday evening – The 49-year-old driver was arrested.
There was a serious road accident Monday evening, April 27, shortly after 16:00, in Tzavros, when a car struck two Dutch tourists who were attempting to cross the road.
According to initial reports, the accident happened under unclear circumstances when the vehicle, driven by a 49-year-old man, hit a 63-year-old man and his 32-year-old daughter.
An ambulance arrived immediately at the scene, picked up the two injured individuals, and transported them to Corfu General Hospital to receive first aid and for an assessment of their condition. Initial reports indicate injuries, although the severity of their condition has not yet been clarified.
The exact causes and circumstances under which the collision occurred are being investigated by the police authorities as part of the preliminary inquiry.
