Back again this year for Akrolofiton Road Races 2026!

The Local Community & Cultural Society of Kavalouri, Karousades Cultural Society, Platonas Nymfon Cultural Society, Agrafon Cultural Society, Antiperni Cultural Society, and Sfakera Cultural Society, in cooperation with the Ionian Islands Regional Authority, the Municipality of North Corfu, and the SEGAS Corfu Regional Committee, are co-organising the “AKROLOFITON” Road Races on Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m., in honour of Champion Spyros Kontosoros and in memory of Victor Sgouropoulos, Physical Education Teacher and Athletics Coach, at the former Kavalouri Primary School.

(Born 2014 and later)

3,000m – Junior High School Boys & Girls
(Born 2011–2012–2013)

COURSE DESCRIPTION

10,000m (Men and Women)

Start: Platonas Nymfon School Centre
Route toward Sfakera, right at the junction, passing through Sfakera village, straight toward the Roda junction, left toward Livadi (Kavalouri–Karousades), straight and uphill toward Stavros Karousadon, left into the inner Karousades road (passing through the entire village), then left toward the village of Kavalouri.

Finish: Outside former Kavalouri Primary School.

1,500m - Primary School Boys and Girls

Start & Registration: Karousades Primary School
Finish: Former Kavalouri Primary School

3,000m - Junior High and High School Boys and Girls

Start & Registration: Stavros Karousades 
Finish: Former Kavalouri Primary School

HEALTH CERTIFICATION

All pupils may participate provided they have submitted an Individual Health Card to their school and participate under parental responsibility.

For the 10,000m Men & Women race, participants must submit a signed Responsible Declaration confirming their health status to the Race Secretariat.

Registration will take place ON THE DAY OF THE RACES before the start of each event.

Awards will be presented to the top three finishers.
