Installation of defibrillators in Kinopiastes and former Achilleio Town Hall
CORFU. An organised, hands-on training programme for using the devices will be announced soon and delivered by EKAB instructors.
Committed to protecting human life and strengthening the sense of safety in the local community, the Local Council of the Municipal Community of Kinopiastes has announced the completion of an important initiative.
On the initiative of the President of the Community, Dimitrios Sourvinos, and in close cooperation with the Municipality of Central Corfu and the Department of Public Health, automated external defibrillators (AEDs) have been installed in central, easily accessible locations:
• Outside the Kynopiastes Philharmonic Society building
• Outside the former Achilleion Town Hall building
An AED is a life-saving device that can be used immediately in cases of cardiac arrest, providing crucial time until medical help arrives. This initiative is an important step in prevention and clearly shows the care and commitment of local authorities to the health and safety of both residents and visitors.
And this is just the beginning. In the near future, a structured training programme on how to use the devices will be announced, led by certified instructors from EKAB, helping citizens feel confident and prepared to act calmly and effectively in an emergency.
