CORFU. The activity was part of the 12th Panhellenic Education & Prevention Week 2025 – “EKAB be S.A.F.E.”

On Monday morning, 15 December, the training team from Corfu EKAB was at Annunziata Square, bringing first aid knowledge to the heart of the town.

The activity was part of the 12th Panhellenic Education & Prevention Week 2025 – “EKAB be S.A.F.E. – One week can, quite literally, save a LIFE!”, which runs until 19 December.

This nationwide initiative is dedicated to strengthening community preparedness and serves as a tribute to EKAB personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty.

The Corfu public had the opportunity to be trained by EKAB personnel in vital, life-saving skills:

  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

  • Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

  • Management of emergency incidents requiring immediate intervention until the arrival of paramedics

EKAB’s goal is not merely the acquisition of practical skills, but above all the strengthening of social awareness regarding the value of preparedness and solidarity. Knowledge of First Aid can prove decisive when time is running out, turning every member of the public into a vital link in the chain of survival.

The activities of Corfu EKAB, as well as those taking place throughout the country, continue throughout the week, aiming to foster a culture of prevention and immediate response.
