CORFU. Cinema, creativity, and inspiring messages kick off the Cultural Society΄s summer events.
Ano Korakiana Cultural Society is launching this year's summer programme with a special two-day event dedicated to children and families!
On 18 & 19 July, join us for two evenings filled with cinema, creativity, and inspiring messages.
On Saturday, 18 July, in collaboration with The Moonlight Cinema Caravan, the village square will be transformed into a magical open-air cinema beneath the stars. The award-winning animated film The Iron Giant will be screened—a moving story that reminds us that true strength lies in friendship, acceptance, empathy, and choosing peace over violence.
On Sunday, 19 July, the experience continues. In collaboration with the Educational Institute, parents and children will take part in an interactive workshop inspired by the themes of the film. Together, we will explore and discuss the values it celebrates: peace, friendship, acceptance of diversity, cooperation, empathy, and respect.
The central message of the two-day event is:
"Peace is stronger than violence."
The Cultural Society stated:
"We believe that the most important values are nurtured within the family and strengthened through the community. We look forward to welcoming everyone as we open this year's summer programme with two special events that will leave lasting memories for both children and adults alike."
