254 new cases of coronavirus in Greece today and 2 deaths

ATHENS. The number of new confirmed cases remains high with 254 on Friday 14 August.

EODY announced 254 new confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 , of which 20 were detected at entry points. The total number of cases in Greece is now 6,632, of which 55% are males. 1,592 (24%) of the cases are connected to arrivals from abroad and 3,207 (48.4%) are from contacts with known cases.

22 patients - 7 female, 15 male - are intubated in ICUs. The average age is 63 and 59.1% have underlying health conditions or are over 70. 136 patients have been discharged from ICUs

There were 2 deaths today, taking the total number of fatalities to 223. 77 (34.5%) were females and the average age was 77. 96% had underlying health conditions or were over 70.

98 in Attica - 17 of which were connected to a recent trip in Greece
76 in Thessaloniki - 4 connected with known clusters and 8 connected to a recent trip in Greece
9 in Evros - 6 of which are connected to a known cluster
