North Corfu Municipality: Recycling information campaign for hotels

CORFU. North Corfu Municipality has started visiting hotels to help organise collection of recyclable materials in four streams.
North Corfu Deputy Mayor for Circular Economy Spyridoula Kokkali has sent the following letter to hotels in the municipality:
"Following on from our communication last year, we would like to inform you that we have already started paying visits by appointment to hotels that are opening in the next few days in order to once again organise recycling in four streams (cardboard, glass, plastic and tinplate/aluminium). Where deemed necessary we will also be educating personnel with regard to the proper management of waste - such as kitchen, bar and catering staff.
The Municipality has produced an information leaflet in Greek and English for residents and visitors regarding the 4 separate recycling streams and the 4 different colours of bins (this has already been distributed in all the communities) which can be made available for you if you so wish.
We would also like to let you know that we have signed an agreement of cooperation with the Social Cooperative Enterprise 'All Together for the Corfu Environment' and can pick up from your premises bed clothing and linen which you no longer use so that it can be reused or recycled. This is a very important project to do with a special type of waste and would like to ask you to take an active part.
We remain at your disposal, with our focus being on the protection of the island's precious environment and the showcasing of our tourist wealth through green activities."
