Religious tradition ΄beats΄ lockdown measures

It seems that Corfu religious traditions were stronger than the lockdown measures.



People gathered in St. Spyridon Square and the narrow streets to see the shortened Epitaphios procession, even though it was shortened following the joint agreement between police and the Archbishop.



Mayor Meropi Ydraiou also followed the procession.



The Corfiot President of the National Greek Tourist Organisation was also present and wished everyone a Happy Easter "taking the necessary care so that we can soon be free of all this."
