CORFU. Three Ukrainian nationals bringing 23 illegal immigrants from Turkey to Corfu on a sailing boat were arrested early on Friday morning.
Corfu Coast Guard and police took part in an operation coordinated by the Organised Crime Unit in AThens early on Friday (17/7) morning.
At 05:30 three Ukrainians who were bringing 23 illegal immigrants from Turkey were arrested.
The three will be taken to appear before the Corfu Prosecutor and the boat was seized.
Investigations are ongoing to trace other members of the organisation.
