Meropi Ydraiou takes part in charity run

CORFU. The Mayor put on her running gear and joined in yesterday΄s charity run organised by the Municipality and other organisations. Those who wish can also donate towards the hospital and the Stavros Niarchos Foundation will triple the amount.
Yesterday's 'Run and Walk for a Good Cause' event to support the hospital was organised by Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipality along with the Stavros Niarchos Foundation, Corfu General Hospital, the Trekking & Mountaineering Association and Corfu Mountain Trail.
The start and finish point of the run was the San Giacomo Old Town Hall.
The SNF Run is organised every year by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation as part of the Summer Nostos Festival Retro Future which will take place virtually this summer whilst retaining its philanthropic character.
The amount raised will be tripled by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation and then given to Corfu General Hospital.
Mayor Meropi Ydraiou said, "The Municipality promotes these kind of sports events which reward those taking part and encourage the culture of philanthropy and contributing to the community."
