CORFU. Corfu Trekking & Mountaineering Association is organizing a trek round Antioniti Lagoon on Sunday 20 October.

Estimated duration: 2.5 hours

The route is circular and the trek will set off from the shore path by the mouth of Antinioti Lagoon at Agios Spyridonas beach. At Yialiskari beach we go up to the observatory to enjoy the view before continuing along the shore path to the next mouth of the lagoon. We then follow the inland path, stopping at the historical Agia Katerina Monastery. At the end of the trek we return to Yialiskari beach for a swim before returning to Corfu Town at about 14:30..
EQUIPMENT:
Suitable footwear for walking (climbing boots are recommended), Windcheater, Water, Snacks, Swimming costume, Suitable clothing for the time of year.
DEPARTURE:
Meet-up at 09:00 at the tourist coach park at the Old Port (opposite Mavros Gatos). Transportation to and from Antinioti will be by coach.
The alternative meet-up point, for those who live in the north, is at 10:00 at Agios Spyridon beach by the mouth of the lagoon.
COST:
€5 per person for members and €7 per person for non-members.
Registration at the Association's office (M. Methodiou 14) Wednesday and Friday 19:00-21:00. Information: phone 6980 944576 on the same days at the same times.
Members can book by phone - only at the above-mentioned times. Bookings cannot be made by text message.
Anyone who wishes to become a member of Corfu Trekking & Mountaineering Association can fill out a form and pay the annual fee of €15 (couples - 2nd member pays €10 / students - €10).
