PAXOS. A 74-year-old woman was pulled out of the sea unconscious at Kedros beach.
A 74-year-old woman was pulled out of the sea unconscious at Kedros beach yesterday. When the woman was discovered a private boat 'Psarogatos' with members of the Coastguard on board went to the spot to pull her body out of the sea.
She was taken to Paxos port, where death was confirmed.
The body was then taken by the water taxi 'Golar Miranthi' from Gaios Port to Lefkimmi Port and from there to Corfu General Hospital.
The local Port Authority, which is investigating the incident, has ordered an autopsy.
