CORFU. Land and air units fighting the fire.
A wildfire broke out in the Kavos area in South Corfu this afternoon.
Four fire engines and fifteen firefighters have gone to the scene. Volunteers and the Civil Protection Service are also helping to fight the fire as well as two PZL firefighting planes.

The wildfire in the Kavos area has been brought under partial control. A total of 26 firefighters and a land unit, 8 fire engines and 2 planes took part in the operation.
Approximately 5 stremma of land has been burnt.
