The new ultrasound system was handed over today to the hospital administration, with funding from the Ionian Islands Region.
The Corfu Hospital Director Leonidas Roubatis said that this ultrasound system will allow faster and safer examinations, with less waiting time for appointments. Τhe system also has the technique of elastography, with which a more complete examination of the superficial organs (breasts, thyroid) can be performed, contributing to a more accurate diagnosis.
Present at the ceremony for the handing over were the Ionian Islands Regional Governor Rodi Kratsa, the Deputy Governor for Public Health and Welfare Melita Andrioti, the Director for Public Health and Social Care Kyriakos Katsoras, members of the Corfu Hospital Board and officials.
