CORFU. The artist΄s daughter Marianna Katraki was in Corfu for the opening with her family.
The retrospective exhibition of engravings "Vasso Katraki - Life & History" opened at the Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Municipal Art Gallery on Friday 24 June.
The artist's daughter Marianna Katraki was in Corfu for the opening with her family and she gifted two of her mother's works to the gallery - "The Fall of Karaiskaki" and "Vertical Composition", for which she won awards at the Venice Biennale in 1966.
The curator and art historian Yiannis Bolis presented the exhibition and amongst those attending were the following: Central Corfu Mayor Meropi Ydraiou; Deputy Mayor for Culture Ms. Tombrou; Gallery Director Mr. Moraitis; members of the board and artistic committee as well as representatives of the cultural community, artists and others.
