North Corfu Municipality supports Special Needs Association in collection of plastic bottle tops

CORFU. North Corfu Municipality handed over the first collection of plastic bottle tops to Corfu Regional Special Needs Association.
North Corfu Municipality is supporting Corfu Regional Special Needs Association in its collection of plastic bottle tops in order to provide wheelchairs and other orthopaedic equipment to those who cannot afford them.
On Wednesday 25 August a team from the Municipality headed by Deputy Mayor for Circular Economy, Environment & Public Relations Spyridoula Kokkali janded over 320kg of plastic bottle tops to the President of the Special Needs Association Giorgos Spanos at the collection point - Petros Agathos Transport Company in Triklino.
The bottle tops come from the North Corfu Green Spots along with the valuable voluntary contribution of Ioannis Koskinas, President of Agios Panteleimonas local community.
Also present at the handover were North Corfu Civil Protection Supervisor Giorgos Mavropoulos and volunteer and friend of the Special Needs Association Petros Agathos.
