ATHENS. Government spokesperson Aristotelia Peloni announced four updated measures for tourism on Monday.

"Current measures are being evaluated and adapted in order to make movement easier but also to protect public health," said Ms. Peloni.

Following the recommendations of the Specialists' Committee, the following four updated measures are valid as of today:

- The Covid-19 PCR testing requirement for entry to the country will be in force for children aged 6 and above (it was previously mandatory for children over 5) in accordance with the recommendations of the European Union.

- The mandatory quarantine time for travellers who test positive for Covid-19 and close contacts has been reduced from 14 to 10 days in line with ECDC guidelines.

- Permanent residents from Montenegro will be allowed to enter the country with a COVID-19 vaccination certificate and a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before travel.

- Outdoor guided tours are allowed for up to 20 people instead of 15 as was previously the case.
