CORFU. There has been concern since the cutting of nearby branches revealed that the ornate bell tower is tilting.
As soon as the first photos were posted on social media the Agios Eleftherios Parish announced that it already knew about the problem and put in motion the procedures to repair the damage.

According to information received by Enimerosi, the Inspectorate of Antiquities will be conducting an inspection in the next few days to determine the damage.
Panagia Mandrakina is situated between Bosketto and the People's Garden.
It was built in the 18th century but took on its present-day appearance around 1950 when it was restored following the serious damage it suffered from the bombing of Corfu in the 2nd World War.
It took its name from the small Old Fortress harbour called Mandraki.
