CORFU. A total of 88 fines were issued in Corfu and another 37 in the other Ionian Islands on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 February.
Ionian Islands police teams are continuing their checks to ensure that the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus are being adhered to.
A man was arrested in Cephalonia on Sunday night for organising a party at his home. He was fined €3,000 and three others were fined €300 each for taking part and violating lockdown measures. One of the participants was also arrested for disobedience.
On 27 and 28 February fines of €300 for not wearing masks were imposed on 22 people in Corfu, 5 in Cephalonia and 3 in Zakynthos.
€300 fines were also issued for lockdown violations as follows: 66 in Corfu, 15 in Lefkada, 10 in Zakynthos and 4 in Cephalonia.
