Chamber of Commerce donates medical suits to Corfu Hospital

CORFU. Chamber President Giorgos Hondroyiannis said they considered it their moral obligation and the least they could do to express thanks to the health workers.

Following the unanimous decision of the Corfu Chamber of Commerce Board, President Giorgos Hodroyiannis and Vice-President Nikos Hirdaris presented the medical suits to the Hospital Director Leonidas Roubatis. Mr. Hondroyiannis said that they considered it their moral obligation and the least they could do to express thanks to the doctors and nurses for their superhuman efforts, along with all the workers and the administration. The donation is for the difficult work they are doing with the pandemic but also for their long-term efforts to protect the public health of residents and visitors.

Hospital Director Leonidas Roubatis thanked the Chamber for their continuous practical support for the health services in their efforts to prevent the spread of the pandemic.

Donations from Corfu Chamber of Commerce

Since the beginning of the pandemic the Chamber of Commerce has stood by those in the front line to the best of its abilities. It has already made the following donations:

- €3,000 for personal protection equipment for Corfu Police
- Personal protection equipment worth €1,500 for the Fire Department along with a modern drone for emergency needs.
- Health equipment worth €1,500 for Corfu Hospital.
- €4,000 for electronic equipment for the new Special Infectious Diseases Unit (Covid-19) at the hospital as well as €5,000 for PCR testing equipment.
- €1,800 for the purchase of multipurpose medical suits.
