Driver dies after fainting at the wheel

CORFU. Chr. M., 57, died 2 hours after his car came off the road despite the efforts of hospital doctors and nurses.
The car driven by the 57-year-old man came off the road in Kontokali near the school just before 13:00.
Despite their continuous efforts to resuscitate him, doctors and nurses at the hospital, where he had immediately been brought by ambulance, were unable to save him.
According to police sources, it seems that the driver suffered some kind of health problem while at the wheel. Corfu Traffic Police is investigating the matter and an autopsy will be conducted to reveal the cause of death.
