CORFU. One person arrested and fined in Zakynthos and business temporarily closed. 23 mask fines in Corfu and 2 in Lefkada.
Ionian Islands police teams are continuing their checks to ensure that the measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus are being adhered to.
During the period from Saturday 26th to Tuesday 29th September one person from a catering establishment in Zakynthos was arrested for violating the measure regarding the number of customers allowed per sq. metre and fined €10,000. The business was temporarily closed for two weeks.
During the same period 23 people in the Corfu and 2 in Lefkada were fined €150 each for not wearing masks.
The charges against the business owner have been forwarded to the Zakynthos Public Prosecutor.
