New flights to Corfu from Volotea and Wizz Air

ATHENS. “Together we can place Greek tourism back on track”, says Giorgos Vilos, Executive Director of Commercial and Business Development, Fraport Greece - Airlines immediately responded to the reopening of the tourist market.

Airlines immediately responded to the reopening of the tourist market, both by the planned restart of existing routes as well as by announcing new ones connecting the country’s regional airports with important European markets.

Volotea and Wizz Air have already announced new routes connecting some of the most popular destinations in Greece.

Volotea announced the following new routes:

- Mykonos – Herakleion (twice a week)
- Thessaloniki – Herakleion (twice a week)
- Thessaloniki – Mykonos (twice a week)
- Thessaloniki – Santorini (twice a week)
- Corfu – Athens (four times a week until the end of July, and daily for the remainder of the summer season)

 
Volotea is also set to restart already established routes, connecting:

- Santorini – Athens (31 flights a week)
- Mykonos – Athens (28 flights a week)
- Rhodes – Athens (7 flights a week)

 
Wizz Air has included the following new routes:

- Thessaloniki - Larnaca (5 flights a week)
- Thessaloniki - Milan (4 flights a week)
- Corfu – Luton (twice a week)
- Corfu – Vienna (twice a week)
- Corfu - Milan (4 flights a week)

- Rhodes – Luton (twice a week)
- Rhodes - Vienna (twice a week)
- Rhodes - Milan (3 flights a week)
- Rhodes – Tirana (twice a week)
- Zakynthos – Luton (twice a week)
- Zakynthos – Vienna (twice a week)
- Zakynthos - Milan (3 flights a week)
- Santorini - Milan (4 flights a week)

 


Wizz Air has already a strong presence in Greece, and continues the following routes:
- Thessaloniki – Budapest (twice a week)
- Thessaloniki – Kiev (3 times a week)
- Thessaloniki – Kutaisi (twice weekly)
- Thessaloniki – Luton (twice weekly)
- Thessaloniki – Vienna (4 times a week)
- Corfu – Budapest (twice weekly)
- Corfu – Warsaw (weekly)

- Rhodes – Budapest (twice a week)
- Zakynthos – Budapest (weekly)


International flights to and from Thessaloniki “Macedonia” Airport are expected to commence on June 15. International flights to and from all other airports are expected to commence on July 1st.
