CORFU. Ionian Islands Regional Administrationhas placed speed detectors on both sides of Eth. Paleokastritsa Rd (into and out of town) at Sotiriotissa.
Ionian Islands Regional Administration has placed two modern speed detectors on Eth. Paleokastritsa Rd at Sotiriotissa, where there have been a lot of accidents - often due to speeding.
The speed detectors, which have been placed on both sides of the road, operate with solar panels, thus ensuring that they operate continuously.
The speed limit has yet to be confirmed by the Traffic Police. If a driver is over the limit, the detector will flash the speed in red to indicate danger.
