CORFU. Local residents worked together to clean up Agios Markos road and the church in the old community along with the old school.
Agios Markos Cultural Society cleaned up and beautified the area in cooperation with the local council and residents, starting with the area outside the church in the old village.
A large number of volunteers took part and the Society said, "It proved that 'many hands make light work' and we will continue the work with even more enthusiasm." There will be a clean-up of the beach on Monday 18 May starting at 17:00.
