Biological treatment for Corfu Town to be improved

CORFU. Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Mayor Meropi Ydraiou and DEYAK President Kostas Alamanos announced yesterday that improvements in the biological treatment for Corfu Town will be going ahead.
Ms. Ydraiou said that the project will receive funding of 3.8m Euros from the 'Philodimos' Programme and that it will be "a vital project for the community. After several decades the necessary work of maintenance, extension and modernisation will be carried out so that it can meet the needs of today."
The contractor 'Iros' has one year to carry out the work.
