GNTO Authorised Licences for rented accommodation valid until the end of 2019
ATHENS. The Greek Confederation of Tourist Accommodation Enterprises (SETKE) has made the following statement:
Following a previous announcement, according to which the authorised licences for rented tourist accommodation will be withdrawn in order for them to join the new category system, he Greek Confederation of Tourist Accommodation Enterprises (SETKE) has clarified that GNTO Authorised Licences for rented accommodation which were issued under the old system will remain valid until 31 December 2019.
This is stated in the relevant ministerial decision from the Minister for Tourism Elena Kountoura, which establishes the new operational specifications for rented furnished rooms and apartments (EEDA) and five Key Categories instead of the previous four.
To clarify the ministerial decision and for the avoidance of misunderstandings, SETKE has stated that rented tourist accommodation businesses have until the end of 2019 to optionally join the new category sytem.
