CORFU.On the occasion of the anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall (9 November, 1989) – a historic moment in European history – and as part of its ongoing collaboration with the Goethe Institute in Athens, the Polytechno is screening the film:
Martin Schulz, a former citizen of East Germany, is released from Brandenburg Prison after serving an 11-year sentence. Within those 11 years, Germany has reunited and Martin only knows the world waiting for him outside the prison from what he has seen on television. A new era was beginning but the old one hadn’t yet disappeared.

Cycling the Frame - The Invisible Frame
On the same evening starting at 20.30 the duology Cycling the Frame - The Invisible Frame will be screened continuously in the bar.
In 1988 the formidable Tilda Swinton and Cynthia Beatt cycle along the Berlin Wall in the western sector, filming Cycling the Frame – a historical documentary of the city. For The Invisible Frame they followed exactly the same route but 20 years later when the Wall no longer existed.
