Meropi Ydraiou agrees to the provision of parking spaces for Old Town permanent residents

CORFU. Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands Mayor Meropi Ydraiou met with the Old Town Permanent Residents΄ Association.
The traffic problem in the Historic Centre was discussed, especially as regards the summer months, as well as the issue of parking spaces. According to the Municipality press release, it was agreed to draw up a new register of permanent residents, based on which parking spaces will be allocated - one per family.
The Mayor said that the traffic and parking problems in the Historic Centre will be dealt with through the Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan, which the Municipality is now obliged to implement.
