ATHENS. The Ministry for Civil Protection has sent a request to hoteliers and tourist accommodation owners to put up refugees and immigrants.
The Ministry for Civil Protection is implementing its plan to provide relief for Moria and other parts of the country and is inviting hoteliers and tourist accommodation owners to help by putting up refugees and immigrants.
Announcement:
"The Ministry for Civil Protection is interested in renting tourist accommodation and housing estates to accommodate citizens from third countries and stateless persons who are seeking asylum.
In order to establish availability, individual and business property owners who may be interested are invited to submit their interest.
PROPERTY DETAILS
Types of property:
1. Main hotel buildings or annexes: hotels, tourist complexes, co-owned hotels, furnished rooms and apartments to rent, tourist campsites with bungalows, with at least 20 beds (as written in their operating licences). The operating licence must be valid on the day the contract is signed.
2. Housing estates large enough to accommodate at least 20 people.
3. Geographical location: Anywhere in Greece apart from North and South Aegean.
If accommodation supply is greater than the demand, selection will be made on the following critera:
A. Lowest prices: Those interested will be asked to offer charges of less than 12 Euros per person per day not including VAT - which is considered the maximum price.
B. If prices are equal, then priority will be given by date of application.
Conditions: Hotel and other accommodation buildings must be ready to move in and properly prepared at the owners' expense.
Features:
Hotel main buildings and annexes
1. In a suitable location allowing service access.
2. Maintain the technical and operational specifications required by tourism legislation for each category (keys / stars) as regards: building, special needs access, fire safety, rooms, kitchen, air conditioning / heating, hot water.
Housing estates / complexes
1. In a suitable location allowing service access.
2. Separate rental for each housing unit.
3. Owner must have available and maintain the following in each housing unit at their own expense throughout the period of rental:
A. Sufficient natural ventilation, natural light, without damp, sufficient heating and cooling, hot water, drinking water, drainage.
B. Kitchen, sanitary facilities, bedrooms with suitable sleeping conditions, area for sitting/eating.
C. Ease of access for people with mobility problems is desired.
4. Each housing unit must be furnished with an inventory of items to be returned to the owner at the end of the rental period.
Rental period:
6 months with the possibility of individual extensions from the Ministry for up to 6 months.
SUBMISSION OF INTEREST
A deadline for submissions will be announced shortly.
Submissions are to be made solely on the platform www.promitheus.gr following the posting of the definitive invitation for submissions.

OTHER CONDITIONS REGARDING THIS INVITATION
- This invitation is not binding for the Immigration Policy Services of the Ministry for Civil Protection which has no legal responsibility towards interested parties who submit their interest.

- Data from the submissions of interest will be used by the Ministry for Civil Protection solely for the purpose of the invitation and not be made public.
