Firefighters on the ground and in the air battling Kalafationes fire

CORFU. The fire which broke out in an area with thick vegetation near Kalafationes and Briamaki and still not under control (15:30).
According to information, residential areas are not in danger. Firefighters have been out in strength since the first call and the Fire Service has stated that 10 firefighters immediately rushed to the scene in 5 vehicles along with another ground unit and 4 PZL firefighting planes. There are also water tanks from the Municipality.
