CORFU. Ten firefighters and five fire engines rushed to the scene and were able to quickly get the fire under control.
The fire which broke out in Marathia, South Corfu just before 5 this evening, was brought under control by firefighters.
According to the Fire Service, ten firefighters and five fire engines rushed to the scene and were able to prevent it from spreading. Approximately one stremma of grassland was burnt.
The operation was coordinated by Corfu Fire Chief Yiannis Zamanis.
