World Premiere of Nikolaos Mantzaros΄ 2nd Latin Liturgy

CORFU. At the Church of St. George, Old Fortress on Thursday 30 May at 19:00.
There will be a lecture and concert at the Church of St. George in the Old Fortress on Thursday 30 May at 19:00. The concert will include the world premiere of Nikolaos Mantzaros' 2nd Latin Liturgy.
According to Mantzaros' pupil Domenico Padovani, the work, which hasn't ever been performed in public, can be compared to similar works by Palestrina, Mattei and Mozart.
The composition has been worked on and completed by Dimitris Ktistakis, Assistant Professor in Conducting Mixed Choirs at the Ionian University Music Department.
The following will be taking part:
Ionian University Music Department Vocals Ensemble
Soloists: Sophia Lekatsa, Antonia Tzitzika, Fotis Moustakas, Sergios Voudris
Church Organ: Marilena Eloul
Conductor: Dimitris Ktistakis
Admission free
