Corfu Mountain Trail 2019
For the 8th year running Corfu will be hosting the event which is a favourite with Greek and international runners.
The routes cover 10km, 20km, 40km and 110km and hundreds of runners are expected in Corfu this weekend from Greece and abroad. The races will follow country and forest paths and roads in the districts of Thinalia, Phaeaces, Parelia, Achilleio, Melitia - mostly in Spartilla, Perithia, Petalia, Episkepsi, Klimatia, Alimatades, Lakones, Yiannades, Vato, Varipatades, Kastelanos, Ag. Deka, Stavros, Strongili, Moraitika and Nymphes and Kinopiastes.
Exhibition of Maps: "Corfu by the Great Cartographers"
Corfu Municipal Art Gallery will be exhibiting some of the artistically and scientifically important maps of Corfu from its collection.
From Thursday 25 April the works of these cartographers will be on exhibition in chronological order, covering four centuries, allowing us to see the development of cartography from the 17th century Baroque period, when aesthetics dominated, to the early 19th century, when there was an almost complete absence of any decorative items.
The exhibition will display 15 engravings in the central room of the Gallery's Permanent Exhibition.

3rd Corfu Photomarathon
Corfu Photography Club and the Social Welfare Committee of the Corfu Scouts are organising the 3rd Corfu Photomarathon.
The events will take place from 3 to 12 May at the Museum of Asian Art (Palace of St. Michael and St. George).

The exhibition opens on Tuesday 23 April at 19:00 and will run until 5 May.

The exhibition, which is to become an annual event, includes works by eleven deceased Corfu painters chosen from the gallery's permanent exhibition and archives.

Exhibition: "Far away...the island of salvation...the Serbs in Corfu (1916 - 18)"

The Art of Uzbekistan Carpets and Textiles at the Museum of Asian Art
The permanent exhibition at the Museum of Asian Art ‘The Art of Central Asia’. The exhibits have been donated by Yiannis Sartzetakis and Ruth Dayton and include woven textiles, knitted textiles, clothing and jewels from 19th century Central Asia.
