CORFU. Following complaints from organizations that hadn΄t been invited, the Mayor΄s meeting to update Municipal and Regional party leaders this morning was postponed.
Temploni and Lefkimmi residents wanted to take part and there were angry reactions when the Mayor asked those who hadn't been invited to leave.
The Laiki Syspirosi party responded with the departure of Theodoros Goulis and Babis Haralambous.
Mayor Kostas Nikolouzos claimed that he wanted the update on the latest waste management developments to take place in a small group as he didn't want it to turn into an election campaign event.
The meeting will be rescheduled following clarification on who should be invited.
