CORFU. Representatives from the Town Council are meeting with the Corfu Police Chief to discuss the withdrawal of the riot police (MAT) from Lefkimmi.
Attending the meeting are the Mayor of Corfu Kostas Nikolouzos, Town Council President Maria Mouzakiti, leader of the 'Kerkyraion Dimos' party Meropi Ydraiou and leader of the 'Kerkyra na Zis' party Yiannis Trepeklis.
The aim of the meeting is to discuss Lefkimmi residents' problems, such as the closure of the main road, and to see what is happening with Minister Olga Gerovasili's promise that the riot police will be withdrawn.
