Young Corfu athlete takes 5th place in Youth Olympic Games

BUENOS AIRES. On the day they arrived in Argentina for the Youth Olympic Games the coach Pavlos Skordilis told us that it would be a success if the two Corfu athletes finished in the first six.
The two Corfu girls were competing along with 11 other athletes from Greece and in the end Spyridoula Karydi took 5th place in the triple jump and Panayiota Dosi 7th in the high jump.
Late on Tuesday night (22:00 Greek time) Spyridoula Karydi took part in the second round of the triple jump and with her final jump of 12.84 metres took fifth place - a great achievement for the Corfu athlete.
The two athletes along with their coach Pavlos Skordilis will be returning soon to take some rest days before preparations begin for next year.
