CORFU. Supply is already being gradually restored in some areas.
Efforts are continuing to repair the main water supply pipe in South Corfu. Temporarily a smaller pipe is providing water to low level areas.
The work is being made more difficult for the DEYAK crews by the fact that some of the pipeline passes below buildings - which DEYAK President Alekos Faitas says will be dealt with once the water supply has been restored.
Mr Faitas says that it is estimated that there is approximately 40% supply today and tomorrow, according the head of the repair crew, full water supply will be restored.
