CORFU. Lefkimmi residents held an unannounced protest demonstration at Corfu Capodistrias Airport on Saturday night.
Without any prior announcement, Lefkimmi residents gathered on the road in front of the airport building in another protest about the waste management problem in Corfu and the landfill in Lefkimmi.
Their intention was to let tourists know about the situation and the residents held a banner written in English: "A plea for help - Save our island - Save our children - SOS Corfu in danger - Spread the word - Tell our story in your country."
