Corfu Municipality Civil Protection Services in increased preparedness

CORFU. Patrol vehicles and guidelines for the public.
Corfu Municipality has announced that Civil Protection Services are in a state of Increased Preparedness due to:
- The forecast of worsening weather
- The Fire Risk Forecast Map for today (24/7) which shows a high risk of fire (Category 3).
Three Municipal water supply vehicles are already on patrol to assist the work of the Fire Service whilst all the other vehicles are in complete preparedness to respond to any need throughout Corfu and the Diapontia Islands.
If you see a fire:
Call the Fire Service IMMEDIATELY (199) and give clear information -
- The exact location of the fire and in which direction it is moving
- The kind of vegetation that is burning
- Your exact location
- The forecast of worsening weather
- The Fire Risk Forecast Map for today (24/7) which shows a high risk of fire (Category 3).
