CORFU. Meanwhile, the trial of Messrs Nikolouzos and Aspiotis for violation of environmental regulations at Temploni landfill is continuing at this time (11:20) with the examination of the defence witnesses.
The rally protesting against the state of the refuse on the island is underway. At the time stated, the protestors gathered outside the Marasleion Municipal Building, demanding a solution to the waste problem.
They met up with the former Cleansing Services contract workers who have set up camp outside the Town Hall, demanding a solution to their own employment problem
At the same time, the trial of Messrs Nikolouzos and Aspiotis for violation of environmental regulations at Temploni landfill is continuing at this time (11:20) with the examination of the defence witnesses. The last witness last night was Mr. Koronakis and today Mr. Xenakis is on the stand.
