Car catches fire in Kontokali

CORFU. The engine of a car caught fire as it was driving along Eth. Palaiokastritsas Rd near the hospital.
At around 9pm on Monday night the driver saw smoke coming from under the bonnet and turned right onto the side street running alongside the main road. Local residents spotted the car and came to help put out the fire. By the time the Fire Service arrived the fire had been almost completely extinguished.
