The strike will begin at 00:01 on Tuesday 1st May and end at 24:00 on the same day.
The Hellenic Seamen's Federation (PNO) has decided to take part in the national GSEE (General Confederation of Greek Workers) 24-hour strike on Tuesday 1st May.
In its announcement PNO state: "We are raising a voice of protest and demand an immediate solution to the pensions issue, withdrawal of reduced special connections, the signing of collective work agreements, measures to reduce unemployment and the immediate payment of wages due to crew members."
The Corfu Seamen's Union 'Agios Spyridon' will be participating in the strike - so for the 24 hours of the strike there will be no ferry services between Igoumenitsa-Corfu-Paxos-Diapontia Islands.
