CORFU. For the Year of Tourism, the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek Regions, in collaboration with the Russian Ministry of Culture and Tourism, have organized a networking meeting for the Russian and Greek Regions: ‘A Different Greece’.
The Mayor of Corfu is in Moscow representing The Ionian Islands Region at the 2-day Inter-Regional meeting, 24-25 January. The networking meeting ‘A Different Greece’ for the Russian and Greek regions in the Year of Tourism has been organized by the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek Regions in collaboration with the Russian Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The Year of Tourism: Greece-Russia 2017-18 is a business-oriented bilateral collaboration promoting new Greek regional destinations and their competitive advantages, targeted promotion of new thematic products and the wide variety of tourism products on offer in order to develop incoming tourism from Russia.
The forum is being held over two days and on the first day the main focus was presentations by the Greek regions to the respective Ministers of Tourism from regions of the Russian Federation, followed by meetings between the Greek and Russian regions to promote thematic tourism products. On the second day there will be meetings with representatives from the private sector in the Russian Federation.
