7th Corfu Choir Festival


From 24 – 27 November, the Corfu Choir Society is organizing the 7th Choir Festival at the Municipal Theatre. Performances start at 7.30pm every day and admission is free.


Ionian Islands Guitar Festival
The biggest Guitar Festival that has ever taken place in Corfu and one of the most important in Greece begins on 24th November. The 2nd Ionian Islands Guitar Festival is being organized by the Capodistrias Philharmonic Band in collaboration with the Association of Greek Guitar Players.  Leading guitarists from Greece and abroad have been invited to take part in the Festival, which will be held in Capodistrias Philharmonic Band Hall. Admission is free.



Collection of foodstuffs for flood victims at the Alternative Cultural Workshop



Nobody who is a victim of a natural disaster should remain without help. The Alternative Cultural Workshop is giving practical help by collecting packaged foodstuffs (tins, milk, dried fruit and nuts, biscuits etc.) for the flood victims in Mandras, Attica (Athens). Donations of food will be accepted on the following days at the 1st – 5thSecondary School: Saturday 25th at the Workshop in Velissariou St. 12:00 – 14:00

6 permanent exhibitions in Corfu for art lovers
 -The permanent exhibition at Corfu Art Gallery presents historical collections of paintings & engravings and follows the development of the visual arts in Corfu, from the 16th to 20th century. Opening Hours: Tuesday - Sunday, 10:00 - 16:00 (Monday closed).
-Permanent exhibition titled "Greek Banknotes -Historical Testimonies "at the   Banknote Museum of the Ionian Bank, near St Spyridon church.
-Permanent map exhibition "Mapping with Corfu as reference point" at the Ionian University.
-Corfu Art Gallery presents works of art by 19th and 20th century Corfiot painters.  Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 14:00 at I.Theotoki 77.
-Solomos Museum exhibition of paintings by Rena Cruise.
-Museum of Asian Art (in the Old Palace): permanent exhibition of Japanese Art.
